I have always believed that our environment plays an important role in shaping our identity. The places we inhabit, and particularly the cities we live in, become part of who we are.

When I arrived in Querétaro 19 years ago, I was immediately struck by the richness of colors and textures found throughout its historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been remarkably preserved.

I spent months walking through its streets with my camera, capturing the details that caught my attention. Gradually, I became increasingly drawn to the walls: some well preserved, others freshly painted, some weathered and peeling, and others marked by intense, saturated colors.

After an extensive exploration, I realized that I had accumulated hundreds of images of these seemingly ordinary details. I then began creating diptychs, pairing photographs from different locations so that they could enter into a visual dialogue through their shapes, colors, and textures.

As I explored these fragments of the city, Diálogos gradually took shape: a series that transforms fragments of the city into unexpected visual relationships, revealing connections between places that may otherwise seem unrelated.
